We are so excited to invite you to the 6th edition of the Softer Digital Futures conference!
Over 3 days we will transform The Harmony in Rødvig, Denmark into a magical & soft utopia of workshops, exhibitions, talks, panels, performances, shared meals and collective imagination.
You will enter a parallel universe where we will imagine and create the futures that we long for. It’s a space for meeting likeminded people, getting inspired by the SOFTER network, learning new skills and asking new questions. Together we explore how a softer approach to technology can create more democratic, caring and creative digital futures.
This year we are also relocating SOFTER Lab to the conference, softening up the programme, with more time to participate in workshops, to engage with installations, and more time for collective conversations and to connect with each other.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the beautiful site of The Harmony and enjoy another magical conference with you all!
Speakers, facilitators and open calls to be announced soon.
A warm thank you Tuborgfondet & Maxon for supporting Softer Digital Futures 2026.

Practical Info

The Harmony
The Harmony (or Harmonien) is an old theater and culture house situated by the harbour and the cliffs of Stevns Klint. Built in 1888 as a gathering place for local fishermen, the house has a long history as a cultural anchor in Rødvig.
Earlier this year, SOFTER co-founder Nicole and her wife Carla took over the building, to continue its legacy.
The Harmony will be a work retreat destination, residency and culture club rooted in creativity and care—a creative playground and ever evolving ecosystem of culture, people and possibilities.
How should I get there?
Fly into Copenhagen International Airport. The town of Rødvig is located just 1 hour south of Copenhagen, Denmark which is easy to get to by car or train from the city. We will also be arranging transport from Copenhagen, to the venue and back.
Address
Harmonien (The Harmony) Rødvig Hovedgade 2, 4660 Stevns, Denmark
Bus
We will arrange buses to take conference guest from Copenhagen on Friday and Saturday for an extra fee (more info soon).
Train
You can take a regional or S-train from Copenhagen to Køge station and change to the local train to Rødvig. The train takes 1.5 hours and costs 96 DKK each way.
Rødvig train station is 300 metres from The Harmony (venue), and trains run all day, which makes it simple and fast to arrive with public transport.
Car
You can also drive from Copenhagen (1 hour-ish, 78km).
Where can I find accommodation?
There are a few options for accommodation.
You can either stay in Copenhagen and travel to the venue.
Alternatively, if you are in the mood for the full Stevns experience, we can recommend finding a local place to stay, see links below:
